Firing Detail for Former GSD Commandant - Arthur Allison
On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the MCL performed a Firing Detail for a former GSD Commandant and Marine, Arthur Allison, at the New Hampshire State Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. The detail was done by five members from several different detachments. Firing was performed by Brad Howe, Eric Anthony, John Flagler, Mark Lindsey, and Jim Ambrose.
The detail was done along with three active Marines in their dress blues performing the flag ceremony and taps.
After the detail, Arthur's uniforms were presented by his widow to Eric Anthony from Granite State Detachment #542.

25th Anniversary 9/11 Ceremony - Hampton, NH
The 9/11 25th Anniversary Ceremony event had a monument honoring all of the service members of all branches from New Hampshire that lost their lives in the Gulf wars after 9/11/2001. See the picture of the monument. It has been an annual event since 2006.
The Marine Corps League detachment #394 has been performing a firing detail for this event for many years. Participating were: Dick Lak, Brad Howe, John Flagler, Jim Ambrose, Eric Anthony (GSD 542 Commandant), and Chip.

Memorial Stone Ceremony for Maurice Labbe at Easterseals Military Campus
August 4, 2026 - GSD 542 Commandant Eric Anthony and Paymaster Marge Romano and Mary Anne Diekmann went with Pauly Labbe to the memorial stone dedication for her husband Maurice Labbe at the Easterseals Campus in Franklin, NH. The detachment purchased the stone in recognition for all the amazing work that Maurice Labbe did to help start the GSD detachment.
Chester Rod & Gun Club Fundraiser Shoot
On July 18th, 2026, GSD member David Freschi and the Chester Rod and Gun Club conducted a fundraiser shoot with the proceeds to come to the Granite State Detachment to be used to further the mission of the organization.
Market Basket June 26-27, 2026 Fundraiser
Thank you to all the volunteers that came out to Market Basket on June 26 and June 27 for the GSD Fundraiser. With the help of the volunteers and that of all the wonderful shoppers who made donations during these two days, GSD is able to continue our mission to support Marines, Veterans, and the community.
Department of NH MCL Color Guard at Bruins Alumni Game
At the January 4, 2026 Bruins Alumni Game in Concord, NH, the Department of NH MCL was requested to do the Color Guard ceremony for the game. The color guard included Eric Anthony, Cody Dumont, Reggie LeClair and Mike Martioski. Good job on the ice guys, they did not have mats to walk out on.
